yesterday i was on the BBC news site for the 10 uses for cassettes! i'm number 6.
they called me a vintage clothing designer-- which i don't know how that's even possible.
i felt really special because everyone was googling me because the link isn't in the story (it's to the side).

yesterday i also sold a dress on ebay for $1,004 -- but i feel like the deal will fall through.
damn you ebay!!!

I'M SO SIIIIICK!! my head hurts and i have a fever and my throat hurts and i keep sneezing and my nose is running and i can't sleep!! but it's the teen tournament on jeopardy!! i love it because it's the only time i can actually answer the questions. (i love you mr. trebek)

well... i procrastinated all through december with writing my admissions essay to FIT.
what was great about it was i could use it as an excuse to get out of things.
but after time people caught on that i wasn't really writing anything.
i finally got it in on January 10th.
I was pretty nervous because I was going to have to wait until APRIL to hear back!!
well on January 16th I got a package from FIT congratulating me on my admittance to Fashion Merchandising Management for fall 2007!!
The letter was dated January 11th.
I guess they read my essay and sent everything to me the next day!
I'm still thinking that they messed up and I'm not really in, but until I get that "I'm sorry, but..." letter-- I'm happy!
One of the letters says "Because of your outstanding qualifications, the Admissions Committee is sending your acceptance letter in advance of the Common Reply notifcation date."
the whole night i kept saying how awesome i was.
i told todd how lucky he is to be with me! haha.
on another note, todd came home with a shaved head last night.
he looks pretty bad.
so i'm not so lucky to be with him.

i applied to FIT today.
i'm unbelievably nervous.
i've only just begun the application process.
i fear that i'm not going to get in.
i've been looking at schools all day!!
this blows.
but I GOT MY BUTTONS TODAY!!
yaaaay.
and i got my email fixed (i think).
and a box came from zappos.com today.
i told todd that i wanted those blue shoes.
i've wanted them for months, and they were 40% off.
i'm guessing it's my christmas present (if in fact they're in the box).

my mom went to the playboy mansion today.
she's been excited about it for a week and called me everyday to tell me how awesome she was.
she said the house was hideous.
which i already knew.
i'm not going to lie, i'm jealous.
but i have the hiccups and they wont go away.
getting rid of hiccups > visiting playboy mansion

my sewing machine died.
the few months we had together were great.
you'll be missed.

i guess i should take it in before diagnosing it as dead.
but i doubt its fixable.
it's rubbing metal together and it shoots out sparks.
so i have a feeling its not making a comeback.

i suck at sewing anyways, so i guess it's for the better.

sooo, i've gone through 3 irons in 2 days.
i guess i should stop buying the $15 & $20 ones.
i've been sewing like a madman (an elderly madman) fo days.
i dont think i'm eady fo renegade.
i'm so unbelievably nervous.
one of the only things that makes me happy and want to go to chicago is the craft fair suvival guide i'll have waiting for me!!
i guess i shall get back to sewing.
i only have 2 days left.

my R key keeps getting stuck-- so some of my words ae missing R's.
i think the missing R's give this post chaacter.

i'm going to idaho today.
i'm not too excited, but oh well.
we're spending the weekend with todds family.
it should be eventful.
instead of getting ready, i spent an obscene amount of time on this.
so sad.

luggage tags??

so i've been trying to think of an idea to use the j-cards from all my cassettes and i finally thought of luggage tags.
i had been working on vinyl ones.
is this a stupid idea?
i thought i was brilliant, but now i'm seriously questioning myself.
i'm trying to get ready for renegade, but i'm running out of time and dont have much made.
today was a completely unproductive day.
so back to the luggage tags-- what's a good price?
i was trying to figure in wholesale, but i dont think it's possible without jacking up the price substantially.
does $5 or $6 sound good?
should i do seperate pricing for renegade?
like cheaper pricing than what i would?
i dont know what i'm doing?!!?!?

i did that ad in new york magazine with indie finds, but i dont think i'm going to have many/any sales.
i just have a bad feeling.
the mag is only out for a week and todd wants me to go to IDAHO during the duration of the ad.

i've come to realize that i can't watch soccer with david beckham.
i went to the real madrid match last night and sat midfield in the 6th row and he played on my side.
so i tried to keep up with the game, but every time he came near i focused on him and his wedgies.
they were the most glorious wedgies i've ever seen!!
so when he ran away i'd envision our life together and forget about the game.
then finally when i come back to reality i had no clue what was going on.
so i just gave up trying to watch the game and watched david.
the 2nd half he didn't even play, then i realized i can't watch soccer when he's not playing.
there's just no point.
it was a decent game, although i know nothing about soccer.
soccer fans are weird, they get excited for any goal made.
no matter the team.
todd says they have to cheer for all the goals or they might not cheer for weeks.

prius & a gray hair.

well.
i feel pretty old.
the other day i found my first gray hair.
it was a sad day.
i never thought it would come.
seriously.
the panic has now subsided and i have moved on to the PRIUS.
when driving, me & todd used to always pick out the prius' or prii.
we'd say "PRIUS" in a high pitch voice.
i'm not sure why we did it, but anywho.
well we started car shopping awhile back.
he wanted a bmw, i wanted a prius.
i read elle's "green issue" and was convinced i needed one.
but since i dont drive, todd would be the next best person.
i convinced him to get one, but never thought he'd really follow through.
well he did.
today we got our new prius.
it's black & i even hotlinked a picture for your enjoyment.
it's the sweetest ride i've ever seen.
it talks to you and everything.
it has a touch screen with fingerprints all over it!!
it's just super.
todd begged me to drive it, but i declined.
driving makes me paranoid.
oh yeah, and it has a button you push to start the car.
you never have to get your keys out.
it senses the key, even if it's in your pocket/purse.
isn't that amazing?
i was able to get into the car and start it without looking for the key.
such a smart piece of machinery.

i heart movies

so i love movies.
all types of movies.
last night we watched the hills have eyes.
me and todd have been waiting for it for a few months and it was finally on 'on demand'.
i knew it was going to be terrible, but after watching it... it wasn't too bad.
other recent movies are:

the devil wears prada - which was okay but kinda crappy. it started off good but then faded into blah.
suicide club - which was really good.i can't get it out of my mind.
after i watched it i wasn't sure what i had seen so i got online and read about it, then i started really liking it.
i dont think that's how its supposed to be, but it made more sense after reading about it.
i'm sometimes REALLY slow.
mysterious skin - the other day and it takes place in HUTCHINSON KANSAS!!which is like 30 minutes from where i'm from. it's sad how excited i was. i thought the movie was okay, but they kept saying hutchinson, and if you lived there you'd probably cut it down to hutch after awhile.
paradise now - has anybody seen this?? i saw it awhile ago but for some reason i always think of it. it's one of my favorite movies!
sarah silverman, jesus is magic - i love sarah, and i really liked the movie. most of the stand up i'd already seen or heard, but i still liked it.
ice princess - yeah, so i watched this because i like disney movies. is that sad? yes, yes it is. but i did and i liked it... so there.

i've decided to actually write in my livejournal.
i know nobody will read it...
but i'm sure its therapeutic.
for my 21st birthday i went and saw tommy jones with my mommy & grandma!!!
he's so wonderful.
it was great.

doesn't he look just wonderful?!?!?
i know i know.
ooh and even took really crappy videos.. almost as crappy as the photos but not because he's singing.

he's singing to me!!
